Another Amazing creature found on the same documentary is a type of copepod. This particular one discharged a timed flash of Bioluminesce that resembles a flash bang  or a decoy. I cant actually believe biology and life can achieve something this complicated and i cant wait till we have the technology to find out more about these creatures.

I decided to re-watch David Attenborough’s “The Blue Planet” as i watched it when i was younger and have a great love for marine life/biology. I had completely forgotten about this wonder called the “Hatchetfish” A fish that changes its belly colour using bioluminesce so it appears invisible from below. Also it uses its mirror like scales to blend into its surroundings, sinking into the dark blue/black of the depths of the ocean. Life is Amazing sometimes.

DIY bionics - making kids smile again.
See the joy in Liam’s eyes as he is grasping a ball with his right hand for the first time. By the time this cute fellow grows up, he will have a bionic hand that will be connected to his neural-system and be indistinguishable from his biological body; but for now all Liam cares about is being able to play ball.

it seems insensitive… but i want one.

The contest, the third annual event held by the landscape astrophotography group The World at Night (TWAN), aims to raise awareness about the importance of dark skies free of light pollution. It honors photos that show both the Earth and sky in all their glory.
